The ad has more design than the app.
It definitely does *not* “just work,” since it’s unable to handle accented characters, for example. This is especially strange for an app that is sold through opensubtitles.org, i.e. lots of accented and non-roman characters all over the place.
It doesn’t present any real information on the meta data it’s going to download, so you have to guess about duration, framerate and the like.
Interface is old Java and is terrible.
This app needs lots of work — they really should hire the people who did the ad. If I had more time, I’d do this app over again myself. Maybe this summer.
