{tags} is a great recent addition for being able to identify something like “Directors Cut” for example and being able to take a file with similar extensions, then move it into its own subfolder saved me so much time doing it. Excellent app couldn’t use anything else!

After renaming files by hand doing the ugly cut and paste method and wasting countless hours to manage my Plex library, I thought there must be a better way. After a short search, FileBot came to the rescue. Super easy to use, pick the directory, load the files in to FileBot, pick the online database you’d like to use, FileBot will then show you a preview of the renaming, if you are satisfied, click on the Rename button and you are done. Works 99% of the time and the 1% that FileBot failed, I picked a different online database and it was all fixed. If they had a trial version they probably would sell a lot more copies but trust me, FileBot is absolutely worth the price.

Doesn’t always find stuff, but it can usually be coaxed into making things work. Absolutely can’t use Plex without it.

Does exactly what it says it will do and then some. beyond worth $10. thanks for a great app Filbot developers!!

Love this program… when it works. For the last week I haven’t been able to get it to rename anything. I’ve tried deleting it and reinstalling but still nothing. I don’t understand what happened. Literally nothing changed.

I love this app, however, I feel that the user interface could use some improvement. The app can do so much, I use it to rename and sort in to genre folders, I wish there was a one click option to do so instead of having to manually type it in as a preset. I was able to get it to do what I wanted however it was not as easy as I woiuldve liked.

I have just a problem using scripts for post-processing transmission (the Filebot.app/Contents/MacOS/ doesnt have a filebot.sh) But this app is just SO useful, the ultimate tool in addition with TVShows.app

I downloaded the app and everything was fine for the first while. I was cheerfuly renaming the files in my movie collection then, the app froze. It would not respond. I used force quit to quit the app and it did as it was bid. When I went to restart it it would not do so. It’s icon bounced happily up and down in the dock but it would not restart. I rebooted my mac mini and the problem remained. The app would appear to be starting in the dock but — appearances are deceiviing :-( . In desperation, I uninstalled the app using app zapper and reinstalled it. It reinstaled but would not start. When I attmepted to start it it bounced happily in hte dock but an error message came up that stated something to the effect that that the app will not open bcause it is unresponsive. I tired to force quit the app but this did not work either. Anyhow…while it worked for a short while, it turned out to be a waste of money. V 4.5.6 System: Mac mini running Mavericks

Filebot is the best software out there and I do not understand why it is free. For organizing TV Shows it is indispensable as far as I am concerned. I don’t know what more I can say except that is simple to use and works for me every time. Best of luck with this latest version. Sincerely.Barry

If you value your time this is worth it. Easy to use and does exactly what you need it to.

This is one of those programs you don’t realize you need until after you have it! Then I wonder why I never had it before hand - It always works, it’s not hard to learn and it just works!

Excellent app! A massive time saver and very deep/feature rich. If you collect media (movies, TV shows, etc), this app is practically a requirement.

This app is a “must have” if you own a home theater. It’s really the only easy way to do mass renaming and reordering of TV episodes. It will save you hours and hours of time in getting your collection named correctly. I use it regularly with Kodi with no issues.

I’ve been using Filebot for years — it’s a simple-looking but outstanding app for quickly finding the correct names and metadata for film, video, and music files. And if you use a home-theater system like Plex or Kodi, it’s a must-have. There’s nothing else anywhere near as good out there as far as I know — especially in terms of Mac software.

This is simply a must if you have a media library! Simple and quick!

If you need an app to help you keep your video files organized, this one is by far the best one I have used.
